Lutz – A large, fast-growing business solutions firm based in Nebraska

Challenge:

Lutz planned to celebrate their 40th anniversary at a company-wide event. They reached out to us to create a video sharing their history and casting a vision for their future.

Solution

We recommended a long-form documentary-style video to accomplish this client’s goal. Through interviews, footage from the past, and b-roll, we planned to draw out inside jokes, highlight meaningful stories, and share a close-up perspective on what makes Lutz unique.

Behind the Scenes

In order to coordinate interviews across multiple departments, we worked closely with the internal marketing team. We also helped them gather historical footage, candid phone videos, and old photos to support stories and shine a light on the team’s culture.

Outcome

The new documentary shines a spotlight on Lutz’s best asset: their people. It covers both lighthearted and serious topics through candid interviews and footage from the past. From office pranks to giving back, team members shared stories that paint a picture of Lutz’s work ethic and culture.

Due to Covid-19, Lutz moved their event online and shared the documentary digitally. During a time of uncertainty, the video brought team members together around a rich (and fun!) past and united them around a common vision for the future.

Now, the video continues to circulate and support the company culture. Lutz uses their documentary to help new hires quickly feel like part of the team.
