Union Pacific
Engaging and training hundreds of workers
Client:
Union Pacific – A railroad company that operates 8,300 locomotives and employs 31,000 workers across the US
Challenge:
Union Pacific approached our team to create videos that would help streamline training for drivers at intermodal sites around the country.
Solution
In order to meet the unique needs of each site, we needed to capture footage in multiple locations. While some elements of the training videos remained the same, others were customized according to the city. Videos included tours of intermodal ramps, helping drivers navigate to different buildings in each location.

Behind the Scenes
We donned our steel-toed boots for this cross-country trek. With our experience in the transportation industry, our team was able to operate safely at each site. Some of our team members also have a Part 107 remote pilot certificate, allowing us to take extensive drone footage.
With so many locations to shoot, our teams worked closely with each intermodal site to meet to coordinate logistics and meet tight deadlines.

What We Delivered
33 location-specific driver training videos
Outcome
With our focus on efficiency and project management, we were able to deliver customized videos at scale without a bloated budget.
Before we started, there was one generic driver video for all locations. By developing location-specific videos, Union Pacific is now able to give drivers a better sense of where they are and what each site looks like.
